BRIEF: Derrick Rose, Pau Gasol back in Bulls' starting lineup

Jan. 16--Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol are back as starters Friday night for the Bulls, who are finishing four games in five nights against the Mavericks.

But Nikola Mirotic dropped out of the lineup after struggling badly in recent games. Coach Fred Hoiberg, who started Tony Snell at small forward, said Mirotic will get minutes as a reserve power forward for now.

"He's going to be fine, I'm confident in that," Hoiberg said. "We'll get him back out there probably a little bit more at the four, and it's probably a little more of a natural position for him. Look to build some confidence, utilize him in a little different manner."

Hoiberg also said Jimmy Butler, who played the final 37 minutes of Thursday's overtime victory in Philadelphia while scoring a career-high 53 points, is fine physically.

"Jimmy feels good," Hoiberg said.

The Mavericks are finishing three games in four nights.
