May 13--A man was fatally shot Tuesday by an Orange County sheriff's deputy at a home in Rancho Santa Margarita, authorities said.
The shooting occurred about 2:45 p.m. at a home located along Paso Viento, an affluent residential street near Trabuco Canyon, according to the Sheriff's Department.
The man was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition and later pronounced dead, sheriff's officials said.
No deputies were injured. It's unclear what led to the shooting.
