Jan. 14--Doug Bruno can plan on coaching DePaul women's basketball through at least 2020.
The university announced Wednesday it has added a year to his current contract, taking him through the 2019-20 season.
Bruno, 64, is in his 29th season as the Blue Demons' head coach. His teams have made the NCAA Tournament 19 times, including the last 12 years. His career record at DePaul is 572-306.
He has been an assistant coach to Connecticut's Geno Auriemma with the U.S. teams that won the Olympic gold medal in 2012 and the last two world titles, in 2010 and 2014.
