Dec. 15--A dense fog advisory has been issued for the lakefront Monday afternoon as winds pull cool moist air off Lake Michigan.
Visibility could fall to a quarter-mile or less in some areas along the lake in Cook and Lake counties, according to the National Weather Service.
Stretches of Sheridan Road and Illinois Route 137 between Winthrop Harbor and North Chicago could be especially bad, the weather service said.
The advisory expires at 10 p.m. Monday.
