Feb. 29--A man found dead under a viaduct in Pilsen near 16th Street and Wolcott Avenue had been beaten and stabbed, according to authorities.
His death was ruled a homicide.
The man, Jesus Reyes-Ortiz, 50, was found about 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 22. Police at the time said they were conducting a death investigation.
The Cook County medical examiners' office did not have a home address for Reyes-Ortiz.
No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
