BRIEF: Dead body is found wrapped in plastic near Burbank train tracks, police say

April 29--A dead body wrapped in dark plastic was found Thursday near railroad tracks in Burbank, prompting a police investigation.

A citizen called police shortly after 12:30 p.m. to report the discovery of the body, which was located in an open field near the tracks behind Stock Building Supply on the 600 block of North Victory Boulevard, Burbank police Sgt. Claudio Losacco said.

The victim's bare feet were exposed, but investigators could not tell the person's age or gender.

No other personal belongings were located near the body.

Representatives from the Los Angeles County coroner's office and a throng of Burbank police officers responded to the scene, located near two rusted train cars.
