Tuesday's recap: Blackhawks 4, Predators 1

Dec. 09--For the second consecutive game, Patrick Kane extended his point streak to 23 games thanks to an empty-net goal as the Hawks defeated the Predators 4-1. Kane scored at 18:24 of the third period on a shot from the Hawks end of the neutral zone. On Sunday, Kane fed Artemi Panarin, who scored an empty-netter.

Teravainen dangerous

Teuvo Teravainen seems to be liking life on the top line just fine. Teravainen scored 21 seconds in the third period Sunday and scored 14 seconds into the final period. He also assisted on Andrew Shaw's power play goal in the second period. His goal came on a nifty no-look shot that beat Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne.

Good night for Shaw

Andrew Shaw also played one of his best games of the season. He assisted on Dennis Rasmussen's goal in the first period and slapped home a one-timer in the second period to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead.

Hello

Rasmussen made the most of his first shot in the NHL. The center, who was recalled from Rockford on Monday made his NHL debut adn scored on his first shot on goal in the first period by deflecting a Shaw shot past Rinne. Rasmussen centered a line with Bryan Bickell and Shaw after the Hawks re-assigned Tanner Kero.

Hello, again

After missing the last 17 games as a healthy scratch, defenseman David Rundblad returned to the Blackhawks lineup with Trevor Daley out because of an upper-body injury. Rundblad had last played on Oct. 29. Rundblad skated with Michal Rozsival on his off side, the left side.
