BRIEF: Curly proposes to real-life Laurey at opening of 'Oklahoma'

Sept. 24--Colte Julian, currently playing Curly at the Paramount Theatre in "Oklahoma," proposed to girlfriend Erika Senase on opening night.

Julian claimed he had left his phone and wallet in his dressing room at the opening night party and asked Senase, along with planned videographer Amanda Corcoran, to follow him. Senase opened the door to find his dressing station decorated with roses.

In the video above, Senase doesn't immediately pick up on the proposal and offers up Laurey's line from the play, "What would I want to marry you for?" She then quickly realizes that Julian is quite serious.

Julian and Senase met in 2013 while working on "Next to Normal" at Drury Lane. Senase was the costume shop manager and Julian played Dr. Fine/ Dr. Madden.

"Oklahoma" plays through Oct. 18 at the Paramount Theatre, 23 E. Galena Blvd, Aurora.
