Oct. 08--Wednesday's Cubs-Pirates game drew a 5.5 overnight national rating, making it the highest-rated wild-card game ever for TBS, and the highest-rated MLB telecast for the network since the NLDS Game 5 between the Cardinals and the Phillies in 2011.
Locally, the game drew 763,000 households, or a 21.8 HH rating, the highest rating for any MLB game in the market since Game 4 of the 2005 World Series.
Viewership for Wednesday's game was up 45 percent from last year's wild card telecasts, according to TBS. The game drew a 26.2 HH rating in Pittsburgh.
Meanwhile, the Blackhawks game did a 4.7 HH rating (164,500 households) in Chicago on NBC Sports Network.
Friday's Cubs-Cardinals game will be on TBS at 5:45 p.m.
