BRIEF: Cubs tour new Wrigley clubhouse ahead of today's home opener

April 11--After landing from Phoenix last night, the Cubs took a bus to Wrigley Field to sneak a look at their new, 30,000-square-foot clubhouse.

The new digs include an expanded locker room, strength and conditioning center, training areas, offices and a lounge, as well as a media center, according to the team. The cramped old clubhouse and facilities were about 11,000 square feet, and all were located under the seats near the dugout.

Jon Lester hinted earlier on Sunday that the team might take a look and "ooh and ah and take a tour and all that stuff. Guys are excited to get back and see it."

"None of us know where the door to get in, where we're supposed to put our fingerprints. I think that's the biggest concern for all of us."

Safe to say the Cubs came away impressed.

The Cubs play the Reds tonight at 7:05 p.m. on WGN with Lester (1-0, 1.29) on the mound.
