April 15--The Chicago Cubs will celebrate Jackie Robinson Day with several tributes Wednesday night against the Cincinnati Reds.
Every uniformed member will wear jersey number 42 in honor of Robinson, who broke baseball's color barrier on April 15, 1947 for the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Each base will have Robinson's name and his No. 42 inscribed on the side.
Robinson played his first game at Wrigley Field on May 18, 1947, going hitless in four at-bats but drawing a walk in the Dodgers' 4-2 win.
Robinson played 93 games at Wrigley, batting .295 with 14 stolen bases.
