Oct. 14--The Cubs were a popular topic on Twitter while clinching their National League Division Series against the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday. More than 717,000 tweets were sent about Game 4 and those tweets made 73.7 million impressions online, Twitter reported Wednesday citing U.S. data from Nielsen SocialGuide.
That's down a bit, however, from the Cubs wild-card win over the Pittsburgh Pirates, when they trended with more than 899,000 tweets and 101.4 million impressions.
The Cubs' #FlyTheW hashtag was used in more than 103,000 tweets between Tuesday and Wednesday.
