May 13--Manager Joe Maddon is sticking with a winning lineup as the Chicago Cubs try to win their third consecutive game Wednesday night against the New York Mets and hard-throwing Matt Harvey.
The Cubs will essentially field the same lineup that has produced 13 walks in the first two games of this four-game series after drawing 11 walks in their previous five games.
Miguel Montero has drawn at least one walk in each of his past eight games, equaling the most by a Cubs player since Sammy Sosa from May 4-12, 2002. The last Cubs player to draw walks in eight consecutive games was Gary Matthews Jr. in 2001.
Kris Bryant has drawn 20 walks in 24 games, the seventh highest total in the National League. The six players ahead of Bryant have played in at least 30 games.
The only tweaks to the Cubs' lineups are Starlin Castro batting cleanup and Jorge Soler dropping to sixth. This marks the fourth time Castro will bat cleanup this season.
