BRIEF: Cubs' Pedro Strop "doing fine" after car crash

Nov. 28--Cubs reliever Pedro Strop was at home after receiving stitches in his left arm from a car crash in the Dominican Republic, the team announced Friday.

"A Cubs' staffer in the Dominican Republic visited with Pedro and he is doing fine," a team spokesman said.

The Cubs spoke with Strop by phone and said he's in "good spirits."

There were no further details about the crash, which occurred Thursday.
