BRIEF: Cubs' Mike Baxter receives start

June 10--DETROIT -- After getting shut out for the first time after 37 consecutive road games, the Chicago Cubs will try another lineup Wednesday night at Detroit.

Seldom-used Mike Baxter will handle the designated hitter duties and bat seventh. Baxter has been relegated to pinch-hit duties since joining the Cubs three weeks ago.

Baxter has appeared in 14 games and is 2-for-13.

Miguel Montero, who is 4-for-39, will handle the designated hitter duties.
