May 26--The Cubs' last seven runs have scored on four home runs, including solo shots by Miguel Montero and Kris Bryant.
In order for the Cubs to generate more offense, they'll need to create more opportunities at the top of the batting order, starting with leadoff batter Dexter Fowler.
Fowler is in the midst of a 2-for-19 slump, with one of those hits occurring on a home run Friday at Arizona.
Since Fowler hit a single in the ninth inning of the Cubs' 9-6 win over the Diamondbacks, he has gone hitless in his last eight at-bats.
Here's the Cubs' lineup Tuesday night against the Washington Nationals and Jordan Zimmermann:
Fowler cf
Bryant 3b
Rizzo 1b
Castro ss
Montero c
Soler rf
Coghlan lf
Hendricks p
A. Russell 2b
