BRIEF: Cubs look for continued spark from Dexter Fowler

July 28--After a miserable first half, Dexter Fowler is starting to show his leadoff talents that convinced the Chicago Cubs to trade for him last January.

The Cubs hope Fowler can continue that production Tuesday night when they oppose the Colorado Rockies.

Fowler is batting .333 with 13 walks and only five strikeouts in his past 11 games since June 12.

During that span, Fowler has a .500 on-base percentage.

Kris Bryant, who hit a two-run, game-winning home run Monday night, will remain in the third spot.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Bryant, 23, is the second youngest player in Cubs history to hit a come-from-behind walk-off home run. The youngest was Ad Gumbert, 21, who hit a game-winning, three-run home run in a 7-6 win over Indianapolis on July 25, 1889.

Here's the Cubs' lineup:

Fowler cf

Schwarber c

Bryant 3b

Rizzo 1b

Soler rf

Denorfia lf

Castro ss

Beeler p

A. Russell 2b
