BRIEF: Cubs' Junior Lake makes first start in left

April 28--Junior Lake will make his first start in left field as the Cubs attempt to extend thei winning streak to four games Tuesday night against Pittsburgh.

Lake batted .289 in 13 games at Triple-A Iowa and .319 with nine home runs in 22 games in spring training. Lake, a .243 hitter over parts of two seasons with the Cubs, will bat sixth.

Welington Castillo will handle the catching duties and bat seventh with left-hander Travis Wood on the mound.

Also, outfielder Albert Almora was placed on the seven-day disabled list, and outfielder Jacob Hannemann was promoted to Double-A Tennessee. Hannemann batted .328 with seven stolen bases at Class-A Myrtle Beach.
