July 07--The Chicago Cubs will try to take advantage of Jorge Soler's recent success by batting him in the cleanup spot in the first game of Tuesday's split doubleheader against the Cardinals.
Soler, who returned Sunday after missing nearly five weeks because of a left ankle sprain, hit a double and single in Monday's 6-0 loss to the Cardinals.
As expected, Dexter Fowler returns to the leadoff spot against left-hander Tyler Lyons. Rookie second baseman Addison Russell, who is 1-for-27, will sit the first game. Jonathan Herrera will start in place of Russell and bat ninth.
