Feb. 13--Shortstops Gleyber Torres and Tim Anderson highlight the Chicago Cubs and White Sox's selections on Baseball America's Top 100 Prospect list announced Friday night.
Torres, 19, was listed as the 41st overall top prospect. Torres is projected to start the 2016 season at Class-A Myrtle Beach. Anderson, 22, was ranked 45th and is slated to start 2016 at Triple-A Charlotte.
The other local selections were catcher Willson Contreras (45th) and second baseman Ian Happ (87th) of the Cubs and pitcher Carson Fulmer (70th) of the Sox.
Infielder Corey Seager of the Los Angeles Dodgers was listed as Baseball America's top prospect.
