Aug. 01--The Chicago Cubs took a business-like approach to the additions of Dan Haren and Tommy Hunter before facing the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park.
The Cubs know they have to improve their hitting to have any chance of securing a National League playoff berth -- regardless of how much Haren and Hunter may help them.
"I kind of like what we got," manager Joe Maddon said. "We just got to pull more out of that right now."
The Cubs' Jason Hammel will oppose Taylor Jungman of the Brewers.
