July 25--If the Cubs are to take two out of three from the lowly Phillies, they will have to begin Saturday with a victory over left-handed starter Cole Hamels. The Phillies, who own the worst record in major league baseball, trumped the Cubs 5-3 in 10 innings in Friday's series-opener. The Cubs send impressive right-hander Jake Arrieta (11-5, 2.52) to the mound at Wrigley Field. According to numerous reports, Hamels is one of the trade deadline targets of the Cubs. He enters Saturday's contest with a 5-7 record and 3.91 earned run average. In his previous three starts, Hamels is 0-1 with a 9.45 ERA.
