March 25--MESA, Ariz. -- Cubs shortstop Starlin Castro is listed in the starting lineup for Wednesday night's game against the Mariners and says he feels "100 percent."
Castro, who had been scratched from last Saturday's game against Seattle with tightness in his right groin, celebrated his 25th birthday on Tuesday.
"I probably could have played (Tuesday), but I just took a full day yesterday, running the bases and everything," Castro said. "Today I am playing."
Castro said he mainly rested the groin injury to alleviate the discomfort the past several days.
"I just got a couple of exercises in the training room. I was feeling a little bit tired and I got a couple of massages," he said.
The Cubs will start lefthander Travis Wood (1-0, 3.77) against the Mariners' Taijuan Walker (1-0, 0.00) in Peoria, Ariz.
