BRIEF: Saturday's recap: Cubs 7, Padres 6 (11 innings)

April 19--The summary

The Cubs blew a four-run lead in the ninth as the game went into extra innings Saturday at Wrigley Field before Starlin Castro delivered an RBI single in the 11th for a 7-6 victory.

At the plate

Kris Bryant recorded his first major-league hit and RBI. Miguel Montero had his fifth fifth career multi-home run game with two. Anthony Rizzo, who stole a career-high two bases, has hit safely in five straight games.

On the mound

Kyle Hendricks pitched six strong innings, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out eight. Zac Rosscup picked up the victory after tossing two scoreless innings of relief.

In the field

Jorge Soler slammed into the wall while making a fine running catch of a Matt Kemp drive to right field in the 10th inning.

Key number

14 -- Straight batters Hendricks retired after giving up a homer to Kemp in the first inning.
