Nov. 01--The Chicago Cubs have picked up the 2015 option on pitcher Jacob Turner.
Turner, 23, was 2-4 with a 6.49 ERA in eight games after being acquired from the Miami Marlins for minor league pitchers Jose Arias and Tyler Bremer after he was designated for assignment on Aug. 5.
Turner is a former first-round pick of the Detroit Tigers. Turner has an 11-25 record and 4.97 ERA in 61 major league games.
The Cubs have until Monday to decide whether to pick up the option on left-hander Tsuyoshi Wada, 33, who was 4-4 with a 3.25 ERA in 13 starts.
