BRIEF: Who throws out first pitch and who sings the stretch at Cubs' home opener?

April 01--Fergie Jenkins, Ryne Sandberg and Billy Williams will throw out the first pitch at the Cubs home opener at Wrigley Field on April 11, the Cubs announced.

The three Hall of Famers will also sing the seventh-inning stretch for that 7:05 p.m. game against the Reds.

Wayne Messmer will sing the National Anthem at his 32nd consecutive home opener at Wrigley Field that day.

The Cubs also announced some other stretch singers: Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller on April 13, former Blackhawk Jamal Mayers on April 15 and former Cub Bobby Dernier on April 17.

Before the game on April 15, Major League Baseball will present Jason Heyward with his 2015 Rawlings Gold Glove Award. And then on April 17, Kris Bryant will get his Player's Choice Award for National League Outstanding Rookie from the Major League Baseball Players Association.
