BRIEF: CTA: Green, Pink Line trains moving again after West Side gas leak

Dec. 11--Service on portions of the CTA's Green and Pink lines has been resumed after a gas leak on the West Side on Friday morning, officials said.

As of 10:20 a.m., Green and Pink Line trains are moving again but there are still residual delays, according to the CTA's Jeff Tolman.

Construction workers accidentally hit a gas line in the 1900 block of West Lake Street just after 9 a.m., according to Chicago Fire Department spokesman Jeff Lyle.

No injuries have been reported, Lyle said.

Green Line service was initially suspended between the Clinton and California stations, and on the Pink Line, service between the Polk station and the Loop was affected.
