May 17--Emergency responders were at a water plant in Darien on Tuesday afternoon, working to bring a chlorine leak under control, officials said.

The leak, from a cylinder at the plant, poses no threat to life or to the water system, according to Dan Gombac, director of municipal services for the city of Darien.

The plant is on Plainfield Road west of Cass Avenue.

Responders from the Darien-Woodridge Fire Protection District were at the scene. Officials from the district were unavailable to provide further information.
