Nov. 19--One person was killed in a single-car crash on Interstate 290 late Tuesday near west suburban Hillside.
The vehicle was traveling eastbound when it rolled over and crashed about 11:30 p.m. on I-290 near I-294, according to Illinois State Police.
One person, whose age and gender was not immediately known, was killed, police said, citing preliminary information. The person was the only one in the vehicle.
Officials with the Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed the death early Wednesday but had not yet identified the person.
All eastbound lanes were closed to traffic following the accident. As of 6 a.m., all lanes had been reopened.
