BRIEF: 'Crash-and-grab' burglary at North Side Best Buy

June 29--Police are investigating a crash-and-grab burglary at a Best Buy on the city's North Side.

Burglars using a passenger van reversed through a loading door in the rear of a store in the 2100 block of North Elston Avenue about 1:15 a.m. Monday, said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

The thieves then went inside the store and took items before fleeing, police said. Monday morning's burglary comes after a Best Buy in south suburban Tinley Park was burglarized in a similar manner.

As of early Monday, no one was in custody. Check back for more information.
