BRIEF: Coyote ventures onto Lake Michigan ice

Jan. 15--The Chicago Fire Department responded to a report of an animal on the ice on Lake Michigan on the Near North Side on Wednesday afternoon and found a coyote that eventually ran off into a nearby park.

Emergency crews, including an ice-cutter boat, spotted the coyote near Chicago Avenue.

Video from WGN-TV shows a Chicago Fire Department ice-cutter boat following the coyote for a time until the animal ran back to shore at Ohio Street Beach and into Olive Park.
