BRIEF: County Barbeque launches 'Ribs for Rahm'

April 03--We generally steer clear of politics on these pages, but this was irresistible: through Tuesday (Election Day), County Barbeque (1352 W. Taylor St., 312-929-2528) is running a "Ribs for Rahm" promotion.

For the next five days, a portion of the proceeds from sales of County Barbeque's rib tips ($14) will be donated to Urban Prep Academies. (Rather than support the mayor directly, County Barbecue says it picked a nonprofit that Rahm Emanuel has supported in the past.)

"Ribs for Rahm" applies to dine in, carryout and delivery orders.

We assume that Rahm fully endorses this promotion, provided that the ribs aren't too Chuy.
