Jan. 31--"Return to Oz: Costuming the Big Adventures of 1985," the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' new screening series at LACMA's Bing Theater, features the work of such designers as Richard La Motte ("The Goonies"), Aggie Guerard Rodgers ("Pee-wee's Big Adventure") and Deborah L. Scott ("Back to the Future"). The series complements the "Hollywood Costume" exhibition at the Wilshire May Co. Building, the future location of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The "Return to Oz" program screens Feb. 13 and 20. Also continuing through February is the academy's screening series "Two Sides of a Costume Designer," which highlights such costume designers as Charles Knode ("Blade Runner") and Irene Sharaff ("Meet Me in St. Louis," "West Side Story").
