Feb. 03--Corey Crawford makes a young fan's wish come true when he and a pair of Blackhawks teammates make a surprise visit to his home.
"#WhatsYourGoal: Emilie," another spot in the team's ad and social media campaign, centers on a babysitter and Blackhawks fan, Emilie Kopija, who babysits Ben Munsie, an 8-year-old Crawford fan whose medical condition limits the use of his arms and legs. The ad was filmed last month at Ben's home in Westmont.
Crawford drops in while Ben is playing hockey with his brother Alex, 11. "Corey? Is that you?" Ben asks.
"It's me," Crawford replies.
"Where's your pads?" Ben shoots back.
Crawford helps Ben get dressed to play outside, assisting him with putting on a leg brace. Later, Teuvo Teravainen and Andrew Shaw join them to play street hockey -- and, of course, Ben scores on his idol.
