March 26--Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford is "close" to returning from injury but Crawford has still not begun skating, according to coach Joel Quenneville.
Crawford, who has not played since March 14 because of an upper-body injury, is not on the team's road trip through Calgary, Vancouver and Minnesota as he recovers from an upper-body injury.
Quenneville would not go into specifics of Crawford's injury when asked if Crawford was dealing with a concussion or vertigo, but he did say the Hawks were not concerned about Crawford's availability for the playoffs.
"We think he's going to be ready (for the playoffs)," Quenneville said. "He's close but we still don't see him on the ice. Can't answer that certainly, but we expect him to be ready."
Center Marcus Kruger is expected to make his return from a dislocated wrist that has kept him out since Dec. 17.
