BRIEF: Cops search for girl, 12, who failed to return from school on NW Side

Nov. 12--Chicago police are asking for the public's assistance to help search for a 12-year-old girl who is missing after failing to return home from school Wednesday.

Victoria Aguaiza was last seen at 2:25 p.m. but failed to return to her home in the 2700 block of North Avers Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood, police said.

The girl was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, a white shirt with a collar, a plaid skirt and black gym shoes, police said.

She is described as white Hispanic, 4 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Area North Special victims unit at (312)744-8200.
