Jan. 08--Chicago police on Friday released surveillance photos of three men who robbed a man last month at a CTA Red Line stop on the South Side.
The three went up to the man at the Garfield/55th stop, 220 W. Garfield Boulevard, about 3:30 a.m. Dec. 26 as he was waiting for a train, and demanded his cellphone, watch and wallet, according to a police alert issued Friday.
The robbers are described as black men between 23 and 30 years old, standing 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-3 and weighing between 160 and 200 pounds. The surveillance photos show one was wearing a blue puffy coat, dark jeans and dark gym shoes, with a dark gray or black hooded sweatshirt and a blue ski cap; a second was wearing a dark jacket and a light gray hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans and dark shoes and carrying a black shoulder bag; and the third was wearing a dark jacket, a dark blue ski cap, stonewashed jeans and dark shoes.
