Jan. 13--Chicago police on Tuesday released surveillance photos of two men wanted in connection with the robbery of two 7-Eleven stores over the weekend on the North Side.
The robberies took place about 9 p.m. Sunday at a store at 2181 N. Clybourn Ave. in the Lincoln Park area, and about 3:55 a.m. Saturday at a store at 1415 W. Irving Park Road in the Lakeview neighborhood, police said.
In the most recent robbery, two men entered the store on Clybourn, and one implied he had a handgun and robbed the store.
In the earlier robbery, the man who implied he had a gun during the other robbery entered the store with a knife and implied he had a gun.
The man who held the knife is described as a white man in his 20s, standing about 5-foot-7 and with a slim build. In both robberies, he was wearing a black hooded jacket and a black baseball cap. The second robber was described as an Hispanic man or boy who was wearing a black hooded jacket, possibly with a zipper pocket on the left sleeve, and black pants with white stripes. The surveillance photo released of the second man shows him as possibly having a mustache.
