BRIEF: Cops: Missing Far South Side woman's car found abandoned in Loop

May 03--Chicago police are asking for help finding a Far South Side woman who investigators say has been confused lately and whose car was found abandoned in the Loop this week.

Narsise Smith, 53, was last seen in the 12900 block of South Lowe Avenue on Wednesday, and her car was found abandoned at Jackson Boulevard and State Street on Thursday, according to an alert issued Saturday by Area Central detectives. Her keys were found a few blocks away, police said.

Investigators are concerned because of Smith's recent confusion.

Smith, who is black, is about 5-foot-2 and weighs about 180 pounds. She has brown eyes, black hair and a medium complexion. She was last seen wearing a white cap with a black stocking underneath, a white shirt, a white jacket and gray jogging pants. She was carrying a white bag.

Anyone with information on Smith is asked to call 911 and Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
