BRIEF: Cops investigate armed robbery at Ford City Mall

Feb. 26--Chicago police were investigating an armed robbery that happened Friday morning at a jewelry store inside of Ford City Mall on the Southwest Side.

The robbery happened about 11:11 a.m. at the mall located in the 7600 block of South Cicero Avenue, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

Shots were fired by a suspect, but no one was injured. There was no immediate information about the items taken during the robbery, and no one was in custody.

Police were investigating.
