BRIEF: Cops: Girl who went missing while meeting new Facebook friend found

May 07--A teenage girl who went missing after leaving her West Side home Tuesday night to meet a Facebook friend for the first time has been found, police said.

Lorraine Carter, 15, left home shortly before 11 p.m. on the 3700 block of West Grenshaw Street in the Homan Square neighborhood. Lorraine was going to meet a friend named Corey Finney at Douglas Park, police said.

Wednesday evening, police said the 15-year-old girl had returned home, according to a department alert.

Lorraine was last seen wearing a black and gray sweater, a blue Crane Medical Preparatory High School uniform shirt, black pants, black and brown spotted boots, and a black headband. She was carrying a rainbow-colored backpack and a light-green purse, police said.
