Jan. 01--A 12-year-old girl went missing Friday on the Southwest Side in the city's West Elsdon neighborhood, police said.
Stephany Portes was last seen in the 3800 block of West 55th Place. She is believed to be wearing a blue or black hooded sweater, blue jeans and brown boots. Police said she may be wearing black plastic framed glasses.
Stephany is known to frequent West Chicago, Villa Park and Oak Brook.
She is described as a Hispanic girl with a medium complexion, black hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall, and weighs about 160 pounds, police said.
