BRIEF: Cops: Avid canoeist missing from Albany Park near Chicago River

May 07--Police are asking for the public's help finding a man who is an avid canoeist and was last seen Wednesday morning in Albany Park near the Chicago River.

Federico Borman, 24, who lives in the area of Christiana and Wilson avenues, was last seen about 8 a.m., said police. Borman's homemade canoe and blue road bike also are missing.

Police said Borman lives near the waterway of the north branch of the Chicago River. He was last seen wearing orange and black gym shoes.

Borman is described as a white man with a medium complexion, brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds, said police.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact the Area North Special Victims Unit at 312-744-8266.
