BRIEF: Cops ask for help finding teen mom who allegedly abducted son

July 28--Chicago police are asking for the public's help finding a teenage girl after they say she abducted her 1-year-old son during visitation with the boy at a Hermosa neighborhood park.

Solonia Anderson, 17, was making a supervised visit with her son, Beyoun Collins, at Greenebaum Playlot Park, 4300 W. Wabansia Ave., about 1:15 p.m. Friday when she fled with the boy, according to a child abduction alert issued Tuesday by Area North detectives.

Anderson does not have custody of the boy, according to police.

Police did not release information about where Anderson might spend time.

Anderson is a black girl, about 5 feet tall and about 115 pounds, with medium-length black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray tank top and black shorts. Beyoun is a black boy, about 2-foot-5 and weighing about 25 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt and black shorts.

Anyone with information about the abduction or Anderson and Beyoun's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or call detectives at 312-744-8200.
