BRIEF: Cops: 4 in custody after shooting outside Markham social club

Feb. 09--Four people are in custody after a man was shot outside a Markham social club early Monday, police said.

The shooting happened at 3:34 a.m. in the parking lot of the Club Justice social club, 2829 W. 167th St., Markham police said.

An altercation believed to have begun inside the club between several people spilled out into the parking lot of the south suburban club, which is open until 4 a.m., police said.

Police said the altercation resulted in a 29-year-old man being shot and suffering non-life threatening wounds. Police were trying to determine the cause of the argument.

Police said four people of interest are being questioned but as of early Monday afternoon no charges had been filed.

Markham police are leading the investigation with assistance from Illinois State Police, Markham officials said.
