BRIEF: Cops: 14-year-old girl missing from Bridgeport is located

May 04--A 14-year-old girl who disappeared from the Bridgeport neighborhood last week has been located safely, police said Wednesday.

Athena Garcia had been last seen April 29 in the 3200 block of Aberdeen Street. Police said she frequents the area of 47th and Halsted Street, according to a missing person alert issued Tuesday.

Athena was located and is safe, police said in an update issued Wednesday. They provided no other details.

Anyone with information on Athena's disappearance can call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
