BRIEF: Construction worker injured in accident at Wrigley Field

March 25--A construction worker at Wrigley Field was injured when pipes fell on her while she was working in the lower level of the stadium Friday morning, officials said.

The woman, in her mid-30s, was not trapped and did not have to be rescued, but she complained of facial, neck and back pain, according to Chicago Fire Department officials.

The worker, a subcontractor of the 1060 Project, was injured while working in the basement of the west side of the ballpark, said Julian Green, a spokesman for the Chicago Cubs. Green said metal piping fell on the worker.

She was taken in good condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, officials said.
