Sept. 28--Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker will make a two-day trip to Cuba next week.
The trip is Oct. 6-7. Pritzker is to meet with Cuban government officials and discuss rule changes involving trade, travel and financial transactions, aides said.
Officials from the Commerce and Treasury departments are part of the visit.
Pritzker will be the second Cabinet secretary to visit the island nation since diplomatic relations with the U.S. were re-established.
Secretary of State John Kerry was the first Cabinet chief to travel to Cuba when he reopened the U.S. Embassy on Aug. 14 after it had been closed for 54 years.
Pritzker, a Chicago billionaire, former business executive and heir to the Hyatt hotel fortune, became commerce chief in June 2013. She has made official trips to 33 countries since, an aide said.
