BRIEF: Coming April 5: First-ever night home opener in Cubs' history

Nov. 14--The Cubs announced their 2015 opener against the Cardinals will be moved from April 6th to April 5th after ESPN2 picked the game up for a 7:05 p.m. national "Sunday Night Baseball" telecast.

It'll mark the first-ever night home opener in Cubs' history, the first game of the video board era at refurbushed Wrigley Field, and the debut of new manager Joe Maddon.

The rescheduled game also shifts the rest of the opening series. April 6th will now be an off-day, and the Cubs will finish off the series against the Cards with a 7:05 p.m. start on April 7th and a 1:20 p.m. game on April 8th.
