BRIEF: Colin Kaepernick defends Tom Brady, says to let 'deflategate' go

May 09--Colin Kaepernick has Tom Brady's back concerning 'deflategate.'

The San Francisco 49ers star quarterback got on Twitter to stand up for the embattled Brady on Friday afternoon, telling his nearly 750,000 followers to get over it.

No football in the world is going to help you win by 38! Let it go and let Tom be great! On to the 2015 season #7tormsComing

-- Colin Kaepernick (@Kaepernick7) May 8, 2015

Brady is currently awaiting his fate after an investigation into the incident during last season's AFC championship game found the quarterback "was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities" regarding the deflation of the footballs the Patriots used in a 45-7 rout of the Indianapolis Colts.

Brady faces a possible fine and suspension by the NFL.

In his first public appearance since the Wells report came out, Brady said Thursday night he was still digesting the information and didn't have a reaction.
